MIRC 7.22

About MIRC 7.22
MIRC is a protocol for real-time Internet text messaging and video conferencing and also known as MIRC (internet relay chat) clients. It is created in 1995 and developed by Khaled Mardam-Bey. MIRC can only be used with dedicated Chat servers, and therefore MIRC is called an MIRC Client.

Benefits of MIRC chat
1)It allows you to 'talk' in real time with other users from all over the world. Basic MIRC chat lets you send text to a server which can display it in whichever channel you choose to join.
2)You can also send private messages that only you and the person you select can see. Additionally,
3)You can establish a direct connection to another user, (if they accept), to chat without using the MIRC server in the middle, or even to exchange files from one computer to another. The Chat client is designed to make this all very easy and simple to do.
4)MIRC has extra coding, that lets you add colour to your text. It is also a more advanced client than many others as it is far better to use and more secure and reliable. 5)
5)MIRC also supports sound, letting you play wav files and midi files to chat. If the other person has the same file it will also be heard on their computer. If they do not have the file, mIRC can automatically request the file to be sent. With Sound and colour support mIRC is like a multimedia chat client.

How to use mirc chat
1)First you install it obviously, and then after it's installed open the mirc.exe.
2)Next we'll have to add the Star dock server to the server list. Just follow the screenshots and you should be fine.
3)Click on the little hammer icon thingies at the top left, this is the mIRC Options. The Connect section should come up, enter in your details there. Full name and email address don't really matter; you can put any kind of nonsense you want there. For your Nickname I suggest using your Star dock lo gin name. No spaces, if you want spaces you'll have to use an underscore. For the alternative, something similar (this is used when you get disconnected and your nick is still in use).
4)The click on the Servers area and the Add button. Then fill out the information accordingly. After that press Add.
